Easy Rewards Rules and Regulations:
- Only single occupancy vehicle (SOV: means single-car-single-driver-no-passengers) commuters or partial alternative transportation commuters are allowed to participate.
- Participant agrees to use a non-SOV way to get to work at least eight (8) days a month for first three (3) consecutive months. Partial user (defined as someone using alternative modes 10 times or less a month) must add 8 additional days a month for first three (3) consecutive months.
- Participant agrees to report how they get to work each month through an online reporting system (Participants who wish to report using paper will forfeit $1/mo of their reward). Monthly reports are due by the 6th of each month. Failure to report will result in that month being treated as an interruption in participation. A one-month interruption will be permitted after a second consecutive month interruption the participant is considered inactive. Participants marked as inactive will no longer be able to access their online accounts or participate in the Easy Rewards program.
- Interruptions are defined when a month passes and no activity has been recorded by the participant. If a participant is able to participate and record but doesn't meet their minimum requirements for a month this will not be considered an interuption, instead this participant is active but will not be awarded for that month.
- Participant's, excluding two (2) and three (3) person carpools, but including four (4) person carpools, who meet the above requirements, will receive $50/month in the form of a Visa gift card . Two (2) person carpools earn $15/month and three (3) person carpools earn $35/month for the first three (3) consecutive months. Please allow six (6) weeks for delivery of the Visa gift card. If participant uses more than one alternative mode in one month they will be paid according to the mode used most.
- Participant's who continue and complete the next three (3) consecutive months of non-SOV commuting are eligible for a $25 Visa gift card for each additional 3-month period (quarter) they continue to report their travel behavior while meeting their 8 days/month requirements, for 9 months or until the conclusion of the Easy Rewards program, which ever comes first. Reporting must occur on a monthly basis by the 6th of each month. Participants are allowed to miss one month of reporting before their participation becomes inactive.
- This is an example of the Easy Rewards incentive awarded with the allowed one month interruption: Participant registers in July 2007, they participate in July, August and September, they are rewarded for each of the first three months of participation. After the first three month the participant starts to receive credit for their quarter participation. They participate in October, November, not December (December is often a month of interuption of participation due to vacations/holidays, participant doesn't receive credit for this month), and January. They will be awarded a $25 Visa gift card for this quarter and start receiving credit for the next quarter. They participate Feburary, March, and April and are awarded a $25 Visa gift card for this quarter. Their final incentive will be awarded for their last quarter participation after May, June, and July 2008 are completed.
- Participant must work within the boundaries of the Duwamish, Ballard-Interbay or North Tukwila Manufacturing Industrial Centers. ( see www.duwamishtma.org for maps)
- Participants agree to supply an employer contact to verify commute activity.
